Foam Roller for Injury Recovery/Prevention
I’m relatively new to foam rolling. A few years ago they started appearing at almost every gym. I thought it was another corny commercialized product until some of my buddies were telling me their experiences of pain relief. One was a high jumper, and had knee pain for 3 years! I’m in a similar situation, so if it healed him, why not try it?

Heres an article stating it shows no flexibility

That’s interesting, here’s a study which shows that foam roller use resulted in increased flexibility in the knee joint. There’s definitely a need for more research!

I recommend foam rollers to all my clients as it increases mobility immensely. The best approach is to supplement your current regime with foam rollers, and not to replace your warm-up or cool-down entirely.
Personally, when started to implement foam rolling properly, my overhead pressing became much more efficient.
I recently wrote about the benefits of foam rolling on my blog too, please check it out: http://www.reflexionsofapt.com/2013/03/05/foam-rolling-does-it-work/
Looking forward to your next post guys.
By the way CT rocks!
