SO! I started a new job and I am a paramedic fulltime, I work a swing shift 4 days on and 4 days off. So I work 0700-1900 for 4 days off for 4 then work 1900-0700 for 4 days then off for 4 and repeat. Crazy right! Well here is my problem, before when I lost a ton of weight it was kind of easy, I work 0800-2000 2 on 2 off and didnt have to work nights. Now that I work a night shift I am not sure what to do about a "diet plan."
I have gotten mixed answers from many people! Some people tell me to just switch my eating schedule to my night shift schedule, others have told me to keep myself feeling full by drinking water, other have said to just snack on fruits, and others have said to not eat anything at night and wake up during the day to eat (NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!)
I am currently 6'1" 310lbs I used to be 230lbs, I would like to hit that weight again as well as get down to about 200lbs. I would like to meet this goal as quickly as possible.
My old diet would consist of a protein shake for breakfast, fruit for snack, small salad and protein bar for lunch, fruit or yogurt for a snack, chicken and veggies for dinner and then a small snack before bed. I would eat about 5-6 times a day and consume a lot of water. Doing that I would avg about 7lbs a week of weight loss. However with this swing shift I am confused and lost about what to do. Help?
