Chondromalacia a.k.a Patella femoral Syndrome

Guys, a couple of months ago, I was diagnosed, with this inflammation of the cartilage under the knee.
Wikipedia defines it as as "soft cartilage under the knee cap," a presumed cause of pain at the front and especially inner side of the knee. This condition often affects young, otherwise healthy individuals.
I was just wondering if anybody else out there has been affected by this?
My condition was horrible, unable to walk, partial squats or any leg activity. Recently after months of PT and taping and etc, Now i'm able to do the elleptical trainer and partial squats.
So Guys if anybody out there suffers from this, I would be glad to have some first hand info.

Outside of the knee huh? That could be IT band syndrome. It's a common problem with runners. Luckily IT band syndrome is much easier to cure than PFS however equally time taking. I would advice stretching of your it band, piriformis, Glutes. and well as strengthening of your hip abductors etc.. Look up IT band syndrome on Google! Hope you get better! :)
